At Wankelservice, we strive to design and manufacture products that are free from defects and perform at or above market expectations. All our products come with a Limited 12-Month Warranty.

Wankelservice limited warranty

1. Coverage

Unless otherwise specified in writing, WankelService warrants that its products (sold by WankelService) will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”), provided the product was used under normal conditions and in accordance with WankelService’s instructions.

This Limited Warranty is in addition to (and does not replace or reduce) your statutory rights under the Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven) and applicable EEA/EU rules (including the minimum 2-year legal guarantee). eccnet.eu+2Forbrukerrådet+2

2. Remedy

If during the Warranty Period a valid defect covered by this warranty is found, WankelService will, at its option:

  • repair the defective product; or

  • replace the defective product with a new or equivalent product; or

  • if repair or replacement is not commercially reasonable, refund the purchase price.

Such remedy shall constitute the sole and exclusive liability of WankelService under this Limited Warranty, and is offered without cost to you for labour or parts in connection with the covered defect (except shipping costs as described below).

3. Procedure for Warranty Claims

To obtain warranty service you must:

  • provide proof of purchase (original invoice, receipt or bill of sale) showing the purchase date and that the product falls within the Warranty Period;

  • deliver the product to WankelService (prepaid, unless otherwise agreed) together with a description of the defect and your contact information;

  • ensure the product is shipped with appropriate packaging, tracking, and insurance, and (if applicable) return shipping costs are borne by you unless otherwise agreed.

WankelService is not responsible for damage or loss occurring during return transit.

4. Exclusions & Limitations

This Limited Warranty does not apply to:

  • damage or defects resulting from misuse, neglect, incorrect installation, non-compliance with instructions, accident, alteration, modification, servicing by unauthorised persons, abnormal conditions, or commercial use beyond intended specifications;

  • normal wear and tear (for example in performance parts subject to high stress or wear);

  • consumable parts (unless failure occurs due to defective materials/workmanship);

  • accessories or software updates unless explicitly covered;

  • any product for which the seal or packaging so indicates “non-returnable if opened” (for those items you must observe the returns policy for “sealed goods”).

WankelService does not accept responsibility for installation, fitment or compatibility. It is the installer’s/user’s responsibility to ensure correct fitment, secure installation, and compliance with applicable laws and vehicle regulations.

5. User & Installation Warnings

Because WankelService’s products are performance-engine / rotary-engine parts or related components:

  • Always comply with vehicle manufacturer’s guidelines and workshop safety practices.

  • Battery must be disconnected before electrical work. Avoid sparks/open flames/charging while engine is connected. Ensure no un-insulated wiring remains.

  • Ensure fuel-system integrity, correct routing, shielding from heat sources, proper ventilation, and safe operation under all conditions.

  • Where welding is performed, disconnect the WankelService ECU or related electronics from the vehicle wiring harness.

  • Use of WankelService products for motorsport, track, off-road or modified use may void warranty unless specifically agreed in writing.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with local vehicle regulations, emission laws, road-legal status, and safety standards.

6. Off-road / Non-road Use

Unless explicitly stated in writing, the product is intended for off-road / competition use only and must not be used on public roads or highways unless properly registered and legal in your jurisdiction. WankelService disclaims liability for use in jurisdictions or for purposes where the product is not approved.

7. Statutory Rights & Additional Protection

Your statutory rights under Norwegian/EEA consumer law (for example repair/replacement, price reduction, refund for faulty goods) remain unaffected by this Limited Warranty. For example, under the Consumer Purchases Act you may have up to 2 years (or 5 years if the product is expected to last significantly longer) to raise a complaint about a defect. Forbrukereuropa+1

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WankelService shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages (including loss of profit, loss of vehicle use, downtime, or economic loss) arising from product use or inability to use the product. Some jurisdictions (including Norway) may not allow exclusion or limitation of certain consumer rights; in such cases this clause shall be interpreted only to the extent permissible.

9. Governing Law & Venue

This Limited Warranty shall be governed by Norwegian law and disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise.

10. Changes & Updates

WankelService reserves the right to amend this warranty in future. Any changes shall apply only to purchases made after the effective date of the changed warranty and shall not reduce your rights for purchases already made.
